During a lifestyle session I create natural frames, full of real and moving emotions, of true family love and happiness in unposed settings. As I look through my lens to see your smiles, your loving gestures, and the joyful expressions on your children’s faces, I try my best to capture those authentic feelings for you to treasure. There can be many types of lifestyle session, and what you choose is entirely up to you. The one thing they all have in common is that the pictures tell a story – just as they do in portrait photography, but even more naturally.

Pregnancy lifestyle photography

The expectation and anticipation for the birth of your child is very emotional. As the years of motherhood go on, it will be wonderful to remember and look back at these natural photos from this magical time of your pregnancy – a priceless reminder of those special days.

When I photograph a future mother, I want to bring out all her beauty and femininity, and the emotions she is experiencing.

You can of course bring a partner as well as other children to these sessions, to assist in the photos and to accompany you in them too.

Newborn photography

When a child enters the world, your entire life will change instantly. Every one of my newborn baby lifestyle sessions gives complete freedom, without moving the baby into artificial and unnatural poses. It will simply be your true feelings and emotions without any unnecessary additions.

A calm, quiet space like your own home is always best for your newborn baby, so that’s where I usually arrange for these sessions to take place.Please don’t worry about how the room looks, or if you feel it’s not suitable for a photoshoot. The people and their emotions in the frame are the most beautiful part of these sessions, and sometimes just a small bit of a plain wall or flooring is all we need to create an amazing photograph.

Portrait photography

Portrait lifestyle photography is a reflection of your soul. Everyone views themselves differently. Some people are very confident, and others may be slightly shy – however you feel, my task is to capture your natural, complete and authentic beauty.

Essentially, this session is a gift to yourself.

I help you to prepare for the shoot in our pre-session consultation, and then I guide you through the whole shoot step by step, with hints and tips on how to pose, and what’s going to look great.

Photography for Couples / Save the Date

Photography for couples– or “Save the Date” photoshoots – is a session designed specifically for couples who’ve got a special occasion to celebrate.It could be you’ve just got engaged, or perhaps you’d like to send out Save the Date cards for your upcoming wedding, accompanied with a stunning shot of you both…whatever the news, cherish these wonderful moments with images taken in the style of a lifestyle shoot, and you can forever tap into this carefree love and strength that comes from your powerful feelings for each other. The photos we create together during this session would sit perfectly on your wedding invitations, or even feature in your wedding itself.

These will be imagesyou’ll return to for the rest of your lives together, with a special sentiment in your heart. “Save the Date” sessions are mostly about having fun – and they can also act as a practice run for your all-important wedding photography.

Sessions abroad, in the setting of your dreams?

Along with regular sessions in the UK, I also do photography sessions abroad. As well as being a fantastic adventure, holding your wedding or special occasion in another setting is an investment in a host of beautiful memories.

To date, I have shot sessions in Switzerland, Poland, New York, Las Vegas, France, and Spain, among others.

A unique and magical atmosphere, in addition to the true love bonding two people, creates the perfect occasion: incredible memories captured in amazing pictures, which you will treasure and look back on for the rest of your life.

No matter the setting, it is very important to me to ensure that your feelings, emotions and bond as a couple are captured for you to keep and remember forever, to accompany you in this next stage of your lives.

About the session

Wondering where to have your session? You are free to choose wherever you’d like. It can be in your home, or we can choose somewhere outdoors.I have many favourite locations in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas, tried and tested, that could be just what you’re looking for.

If the weather’s not on our side, we can always change the date of the session and arrange to meet another time.

I can offer outfit advice and tips during your pre-session consultation. I usually recommend more neutral and toned down colours such as ecru, beige, or shades of grey, and try to avoid neon colours, loud logos and patterns or pictures, because they can steal the focus from the most important component – you!

Treat our session as time dedicated to you and your family – and I will take care of everything else.
