Individual workshops 1:1

In an individual workshop, I want to share as much knowledge with you as possible. You will learn many useful techniques: not just about how to capture great photographs, but also for creating a beautiful effect during postproduction and programming.

Individual workshops are for you if:

  • You feel that photography is your passion, but you don't know how to turn it into a business.
  • You already know the basics of photography and are unsure of what comes next.
  • You have a portfolio but need an objective external perspective – someone who will see firsthand how you work, and provide real-time advice and valuable guidance.

Individual workshops are held in Milton Keynes. This is where I live and have my photography studio. We’re also close to many surrounding areas which are perfect for an open-air photography session. You will be invited to see the “behind the scenes” of my work, and hopefully you’ll learn that great work does not always require expensive equipment.

The entire meeting and course will be 100% tailored to your needs,and your current level of skill. We will look at the more theoretical part of practical photography, whether in studio or open air, as well as editing images in the Adobe Photoshop program.

Workshops

Studio Photography Workshop

Preparation:

  • We discuss your portfolio
  • We go over the basics of photography

For beginners:

  • You’ll find out the equipment needed for a studio session
  • Learn some of my styling tricks, and inspiration sources and ideas

Session:

  • We will prepare a model for a photoshoot session, and creating an outfit and picking out props
  • We’ll discuss several camera settings and the equipment itself
  • We’ll cover how to work with studio lighting
  • I’ll explain how to work with a model to put them at ease and bring out their emotions during the shoot
  • You’ll learn what poses to put the model in for the best and most pleasing outcome.

Postproduction:

  • We will select the best pictures from the session together
  • You will learn more advanced methods of postproduction and will be able to watch how I edit the chosen images step by step
  • You will learn the A-Z of ways to give photos a more artistic form
  • I will let you in on my own postproduction tips and tricks, and some of the techniques I’ve devised myself which make the process a lot easier.

Marketing:

  • We will discuss marketing strategies and working with your clients to deliver what they want
  • I will let you know how I send galleries to my clients as well as where go for print materials

You will receive a certificate of participation at the end.

Outdoor Photography Workshop

Preparation:

  • We discuss your portfolio
  • We go over the basics of photography

(For beginners:)

  • We will talk about ways in which you prepare for the session, the equipment best suited to the shoot, the outfits and props,and weather conditions

Session:

  • We will prepare the model for the session and pick out the right style of clothing and appropriate props
  • We will go to the outdoor space, where you’ll learn how easily you can turn it into a magical image setting
  • I’ll show you how to work with a model in natural outdoor lighting

Postproduction:

  • We will begin the selection of photographs from our session
  • You will learn more advanced methods of postproduction and will be able to watch as I edit the chosen images step by step.
  • You will also learn how to give the photo a more artistic form in ways from a – z.
  • You will learn the A-Z of ways to give photos a more artistic form
  • I will let you in on my own postproduction tips and tricks, and some of the techniques I’ve devised myself which make the process a lot easier.

Marketing:

  • We will discuss marketing strategies and working with your clients to deliver what they want

Business Photography Workshops

(In Studio Workshops or Outdoor With Fixed Lighting Workshops)

Preparation:

  • We review your portfolio
  • We discuss the basics of business photography, including theory related to lighting, body language, and positioning (for beginners)
  • We’ll discuss how to prepare for the photoshoot, choosing the right equipment, outfits, props, and considering any relevant weather conditions

Photoshoot session includes:

  • Preparation of lighting in the studio, selection of appropriate types of light modifiers, working with lamps, and learning manual power adjustment
  • Preparing the model for the session, selecting the appropriate style of clothing and props
  • Going outdoors with the equipment used in the mobile studio (business outdoor workshop)
  • Learning to work with the model in natural outdoor lighting (business outdoor workshop)
  • Learning to work with the model in mixed lighting outdoors (business outdoor workshop)

Postproduction session includes:

  • Initiating the process of selecting photos from the session
  • Learning advanced postproduction techniques and observing the step-by-step editing of selected images
  • Learning the A-Z of ways to give photos a professional character
  • My own postproduction tips and tricks, and some of the techniques I’ve devised myself which make the process a lot easier.

Marketing session includes:

  • Discussion of marketing strategies and working with business clients.
  • Understanding how to deliver galleries to clients electronically and in print

Preparation

After conducting a detailed interview and discussion with you, I meticulously analyse your needs, skills, and goals. I develop a personalised workshop programme that considers your expectations and thematic scope tailored to your level of proficiency. I present details regarding the workshop schedule, explaining the principles, topics, and objectives so that I can adapt to your expectations.

Workshops

During our meeting, I provide you with only tried-and-tested information and advice, derived from my own experience, and we immediately put them into practice! This allows you to test the acquired knowledge firsthand.

Consultations

After the workshop, you can take advantage of individual consultations where we’ll discuss your progress and any challenges you may be facing. I’m more than happy to answer any questions that may arise post-workshop. The consultations are designed to help you apply the acquired knowledge in practice and derive pleasure from its application as you learn more.
